A BIKE trials rider from Newcastleton has won the overall novice junior championship.
Jake Foster, 14, travelled to the third round of the national trials cup at Shiplee Glen near Bradford last weekend.
At the event Jake gained a second place in the overall novice section and won the overall novice senior British championship.
Last month Jake competed at the Tyke Trial Round 5 in Derbyshire’s bike trial centre and won the novice section and he also won the novice class in the round at Kershope Quarry.
In May Jake won the fourth round of the Tyke Trials in Wirksworth, Derbyshire.
Also making the trip south last weekend was Harry Adamson, 12. Harry claimed a third place in the novice junior champ-ionship.
