Scottish vest for Conan

 
 
 

Langholm’s long-distance running star Conan Harper donned the blue vest of Scotland for the first time last weekend.

The 17-year-old’s international debut for the senior athletics team was just reward for a stunning season so far, in which he has topped the British U20 rankings for 1500m.

Conan was competing in the 3000m at the event at Loughborough University, and was up against a top-class international field. And, while he failed to qualify for the final, the teenager gained invaluable experience of track racing at the highest level against much older athletes.
