Artists put on a fine retrospective

MANY thanks go to all the people who answered the appeal for pictures for the Helen Irving and Billy Ewart retrospective exhibition in Welcome to Langholm.
The response for works by these two fine Eskdale artists has been tremendous.
So much so that it has been impossible to accommodate all the pictures, which have been offered, in “one showing”, so to speak.
It has therefore been suggested that Welcome to Langholm extends the exhibition from the original fortnight until the end of the month.
However, those who wish to collect their pictures on March 23, as promised, are welcome to do so.
This would then enable a second display of Helen and Billy’s work to be mounted and raise a wee bit more money for the families’ nominated charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.
If anyone cannot make it to Langholm to collect their pictures, they can contact Margaret Pool and she will endeavour to get them to the donor. Ring 013873 81163 or 07745 654 958.
The Welcome to Langholm opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 2 pm, and Saturday from 11am to 1pm.
Once again, Margaret and Eileann Bloomer’s sincere thanks go to everyone who has contributed to this fantastic exhibition.
