Masterful event from Langholm’s Creation Mill
leads to organisers already planning next year’s festival
What started as an idea in September between Creation Mill founders, Emma & Leanne Duncan, and Gillian from Burnfoot Wool, in a van on the way home from a Yarn show in Skipton, to an application to the D&G Regional Cultural fund to a fabulous new local event at the end of February – Langholm’s first Wool, Woven and Wild Festival. Three months on and last Friday and Saturday saw Buccleuch Mills become a hive of activity. The event was a wonderful celebration of our heritage, history and culture, bringing together a vibrant mix of enthusiastic crafters and talented artisans from all corners of the country. The town truly came alive as visitors flocked to experience the festival’s unique charm and creative energy. The atmosphere was electric and filled with inspiration, making it a memorable occasion for our community and all who participated.
