Langholm Alliance launches Scotland’s first community-based tests
This initiative follows the success of The Langholm Alliance Man2Man sessions held in June 2025, where local men came together to share experiences and discuss men’s health issues. Feedback from these sessions highlighted the need for greater prostate cancer awareness and accessible testing, prompting the development of this new opportunity.
The first testing event will be held at Langholm Rugby Club, Milntown, Langholm (DG13 0HG) on Saturday, 1st November 2025, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm.
Thanks to funding support, the tests will be provided free of charge, but spaces are strictly limited to 80 appointments. Booking is essential – walk-ins cannot be accepted.

Men aged 40 and over are encouraged to register for a simple PSA blood test at the Langholm event. Appointments are limited and must be booked in advance.
