Staff delighted after “Very Good” Care Inspectorate visit
Staff and parents of pupils at Langholm’s Nursery were delighted to receive a glowing report this week from the Care Inspectorate.
The unannounced inspection took place on April 28th and 30th with the inspector witnessing both morning and afternoon session at the nursery. As part of this inspection, they undertook a focus area and gathered specific information to help them understand more about how services support children’s safety, wellbeing and engagement in their play and learning. From their two days in the Nursery, the inspector said that the key messages they took from their observations were:
- Children enjoyed a relaxed and social experience at mealtimes.
- Children were having fun playing together and making friends.
- Management and staff were knowledgeable about each child’s needs.
- Staff were enthusiastic about delivering the best outcomes to children and families.
- There was a positive staff ethos, and staff worked well together through effective communication and supporting each other through respectful interactions.
