Community in mourning at sad loss of Sam Cropper
Copshaw Mum Caroline Blackie has said a huge and heartfelt thank you to all who have rallied to help and support her and her two young sons following the death of her partner Sam Cropper.
The 36-year-old Gamekeeper was killed in a two-vehicle collision on the A7 near Briery Bank earlier this month.
It was a devastating blow for Caroline and her boys Leo and Adam, made harder still by the fact that the family were already in the throes of looking for a new home after being told the house they currently live in is no longer available to them.
Caroline and Sam were together for seven years. She says they hit it off right from the start and their time together was filled with laughter.
“He was everything to me right away,” she says. “His sense of humour always had me in fits of giggles, and we could work together every day happily. He never cared what people thought of him at all, he was just himself which is so rare.”
