Three-mendous win for Langholm Castleholm men maintain unbeaten start to cricket season

Langholm’s cricketers made it three out of three on Saturday with a two-wicket victory over Caldbeck 2nds.

Langholm restricted the home side to 120 in their 40 overs and looked to be cruising with Stuart Duggan making 27 and Nicky P 34 –  but a four wicket collapse for only eight runs made it tight at the end, with  youngsters Ewan Coates and Jake Park bringing home the win.

Langholm won the toss and elected to field, but with the game being played on the artificial track and with the short Caldbeck boundaries,  the consensus was it was going to be a hard day for the bowlers.

Tony Steele and Corey Park opened the bowling for Langholm and kept things tight early on…..
