Delight as LCC promoted to Premier League

On their tenth attempt Langholm finally made it out of Division 1 securing promotion with a 65-run win over Champions Stainton. Batting first after winning the toss Langholm posted 255 after 40 overs. After the loss of a early wicket with Ben Edmonds falling LBW with the score on 13 Langholm recovered with Duncan Elliott and Gregor Park who put on 72 taking the score to 85 in the 20th over before Park was out for 39.Big Nick joined Duncan and they added 41 before Elliott was out bowled Tallis for 56.With Nicky now ably supported by Tony Steele the run rate increased and had reached 195 in the 34th over when Nicky fell for 58, next over Tony was out for 25 with the score on 208.
