Fans of the work of Claygate-based artist Michael Batey can see a selection of his work in a special exhibition later this month.
It’s being staged at Kirkandrews-on-Esk Church as part of a special fundraising weekend organised by the Friends of the church. Cumbrian-born Michael, who is also a Gamekeeper, has always loved art, but only turned to it seriously after an accident in 2006.
Inspired by Turner, he specialises in dramatic countryside scenes and his work has featured in exhibitions nationwide and has sold all over the world.
The Kirkandrews-on-Esk exhibition is called Finding The Light and features work in several different mediums.
The exhibition is open from 11am to 5pm on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August.
