Fundraising cyclists and organisers bowled over by the hospitality received at Mintown

Langholm Rugby Club was honoured to be asked to help out with the Doddie Grand Tour 2025 – and what a great day it was!

With well over 100 cyclists stopping for lunch, and most of them arriving an hour early as the weather was kind to them… it was a mad rush to get things sorted, but in the usual Langholm manner everyone pulled out all the stops and lunch was ready to be served with not too long a wait.

There were cyclists from all over the UK who had entered their teams, from ex-rugby players to firemen, and they were all full of compliments for the Langholm hospitality. The core team which included Rob Wainwright and Mark Beaumont also popped in to say hello – or maybe it was to sample the selection of cakes!
