One of highest scores at Milntown for many years

try. This led to one of the highest scores seen at Milntown for a number of years, Langholm 75, Dalkeith 14. Langholm remain in 3rd place in East League 1 on 25 points, 2 points behind joint leaders Haddington and Dunbar RFC. This Saturday sees the squad on the road, heading for the capital to take on 4th place Murrayfield Wanderers in what is likely to be a tough match.

Langholm team in total control over Dalkeith

By Kenneth Pool

Langholm RFC welcomed Dalkeith Rugby Club to Milntown on Saturday for the 6th East League 1 fixture of the season. With only one away defeat so far Langholm were keen to ensure that that their 100% home record was maintained.
Although there were a number of changes to the Langholm team, they started with purpose and took control of the early encounters. Ellis Dirom made a good break to score the opening try. Jamie Gormley skipped in for the second try before a brace of tries from Donaldson stretched the home lead further and secured a try bonus point. Donaldson was on target converting all four first half tries. Dalkeith kicked three well taken penalties to make the score at half time 26-9.
