Tony Steele produced his most devastating spell for Langholm
Langholm made it to wins on the bounce with a 36-run victory over Wigton 2nds. Batting first Langholm posted 150 for 7 with Tony Steele making 70, in reply Wigton could only muster 114 with Tony once again to the fore with 6 wickets.
Langholm innings got off to a solid start amassing 53 runs in the first 20 overs for the loss of Ben Edmonds and John Bell with Tony Steele unbeaten on 33. Just after drinks though Langholm lost skipper for the day Nick Piszczykiewicz for 7.
Dave Steele entered the fray and attacked from the start hitting a quickfire 15 which took the score 91 before he was the fourth man out. Another quick wicket brought Graham Park to the crease and he and Tony added a valuable 30 before Tony fell for 70 with the score on 126 for 6. The Langholm batters got the score up to 150 with Park making 14 and Brady Wilson hitting an unbeaten 12. With the outfield on the slow side 150 was not a bad effort by the Langholm side.
