Aoiffion rounds off a fantastic year with two more medals
Saturday was the finals of the UK Youth Development Athletics League at Wavertree Tree Stadium in Liverpool. Teams who had qualified for the UK finals included:
- Blackheath and Bromley Harriers AC
- Cheltenham and Country Harriers AC
- City of York AC
- Liverpool Harriers AC
- Rugby and Northampton AC
- Woodford Green AC and Essex Ladies
- Edinburgh Athletics Club representing Scotland with Aoiffion Mcvittie-Brangan from Langholm part of the team
Aoiffion started the day with a silver medal in the Long Jump. In the 200m, she finished 4th, marginally missing out on a medal by only 0.11 seconds. Aoiffion then won her second medal of the day, with a bronze medal in the 100m. In her final race of the day, Edinburgh Athletic Club Girls U15 4x100m Relay Team finished in 4th place, being edged out of a place on the podium by only 0.04 seconds. However, their time of 50.46 seconds moved them to the No.1 ranked girls relay team in Scotland.
