Annandale Community Transport Services (ACTS) is seeking volunteer drivers. If you have a clean driving licence, a few spare hours, and a desire to make a real difference in your community you might be able to help. The organisation is looking for friendly, reliable volunteer drivers to help local residents stay connected to essential services and social activities. What you’ll help with is such things as driving passengers to medical appointments, take them on shopping trips, to social groups, and community events, provide a safe, supportive, and friendly transport experience, help reduce isolation and improve quality of life for people across Annandale and Eskdale. ACTS offers volunteers full training, including MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) where required, a supportive team environment, flexible opportunities to suit your availability — even a few hours a week makes a huge difference and the satisfaction of knowing you’re helping your community thrive.
Anyone with a full, clean driving licence (car or minibus licence — we can advise) can volunteer and should be friendly, patient, and community-minded individuals. ACTS is looking for retirees, and part-timers. All new volunteers are welcome to contact the organisation for a chat. Contact ACTS: 01576 203053 or by email admin@actsbus.org.ukwww.actsbus.org.uk
