52 bowlers remember Robert

The Grieve Family at Robert's Memorial Competition

Langholm New BC held their inaugural Open Singles Competition on Saturday in memory of Past-President, Robert Grieve.
An excellent entry of 52 came forward to play and it was a glorious sunny day.

The winner was Ian Scott, who played consistently well all day.

The worthy runner-up was Robert’s son Mark Grieve. It was a great achievement for Mark to get to the final and his dad would have been chuffed.
Beaten semi-finalists were Paul Warwick and George Beagley and beaten quarter finalists were Luke Tolson, Lauren Scott, Alistair Elliot and Eddie
Stewart.

Thanks to the Grieve family for sponsoring the competition. Avril presented the prizes.

Millie and Lucy, Robert’s granddaughters, also drew pictures for the winners and runners-up which was a really nice touch – great job girls.
