Buccleuch assures the E&L that they are fully committed to the 500-lodge holiday park south of Langholm
Center Parcs announced on Tuesday that it is planning a new development between Hawick and Selkirk working with the Buccleuch Group. The proposal is to create 700 lodges and Center Parcs plans to submit a planning application next year.
Center Parcs is possibly the UK and Ireland’s leading premium family short break provider, with more than 35 years’ experience of building, operating and sustaining holiday villages. The proposed village will be a similar concept to Center Parcs’ existing six holiday villages in
England and Ireland.
The Eskdale & Liddesdale Advertiser is wondering how this proposal, if it gets the go ahead, might impact on the proposed development Buccleuch has announced at Irvine House. The Editor contacted Buccleuch’s press office for comment and was told that Buccleuch is fully committed to the development at Irvine House having
invested a lot of time and money in bringing the proposal forward. The Irvine House development is led by
Buccleuch.
