Seven hours in Glen Lyon

Running
SISTERS Carol Irving and Kirsty Ash ran Glen Lyon Ultra last Saturday.
This is a 31.5-mile run around Loch Lyon and up into the hills and valleys.
They stayed overnight near Killin, which was about an hour from the start line.
Kirsty said: “There had been some snow overnight but we woke to blue skies but cold temperatures.
“This was Carol’s first and probably last Ultra. I bought it for her as part of her Christmas present so I thought I had better chum her round the course.
“We stayed together the whole way and had support from Alan Miller at 16 miles and my parents John and Liz Elliot at 27 miles and they were all there at the finish.
“We completed the run in just over the seven hours so we were both really pleased with that because it was well within the cut-off time.”
