A SUCCESSFUL free family sports day was run in the Eskdale Sports Centre earlier this week.
The event was led by young sports leaders Alistair Paisley and Callum Jeffrey with help from Freya Blaikie, Matilda Brockley and Alice Roberts.
The children and their parents took part in a number of different activities which included athletics, relays, basketball, dodgeball and other games.
The activity was held as part of the Xcel Project October holiday programme.
The objective of the day was fun and enjoyment and was open to everyone, regardless of age or ability.
