Regional recognition in prestigious shortlist for inspirational locals
Two Eskdale people and one local business are Dumfries and Galloway Life Awards 2024 finalists and will find out on 8 November if they have won the award for their category. An award ceremony at Easterbrook Hall in
Dumfries will be held that evening and the results announced. The awards offer people an opportunity to hear about the inspirational people in Dumfries and Galloway.
First Bite, established in Langholm by Nicole Beattie in 2023, is a finalist in the Café of the Year category.
Aoiffion McVittie Brangan – has been nominated in the Sports Person of the Year category
Lara Porter – has been nominated in the Community Champion category.
The Eskdale & Liddesdale Advertiser wishes all of those shortlisted the best of luck for 8th November and feels sure that at least one award will be coming to Eskdale. It is fantastic that we have such positivity within our small community and hope the judges select one of our own finalists for an award
