Last Saturday night, the wind got up to such a level that it blew the town’s very tall Christmas tree down!
Falling forward and to the right, towards Davidson’s Chemists, we are happy to report that neither person nor property was damaged in the incident.
The early risers on Sunday morning found the poor tree prostrate in the Market Place but, in true Langholm spirit, with the help of specialists Ian Hall and Alan Cartner, the tree, albeit a little shorter than before, was reinstated. Betty expressed thanks to Ian and Alan for their help.
