Special Day, special guests at the Holm Show

CELEBRITY: BBC Scotland Weathergirl, Judith Ralston is show round by the Holm Show President Andrew Douglas

If you want good weather for your event – try inviting a weathergirl along. That certainly did the trick for the Holm Show. After weeks of what felt like unrelenting dreichness and rain, the last Saturday in August dawned bright, beautiful and sunny and even managed to stay that way, all day.

The weathergirl in question was none other than BBC Scotland’s meteorological queen, Judith Ralston. She was an honoured guest at the Holm Show not to explain jet streams and prevailing pressures however, but to record a segment for the popular TV show, Scotland’s Greatest Escapes.

She was accompanied by co-Presenter Graeme Staveley, better known to one and all as Grado, a man who has somehow managed to seamlessly merge the occupations of actor (Think Two Doors Down) and professional wrestler, and still have time to roam around Scotland looking for the best places to getaway. In this case – Newcastleton.
