As he walked free from court last year, with the anguished shouts of the victim’s family still ringing in his ears, Ross Neville must have thought he’d got away with his part in a brutal murder.
But today, the 32-year-old Canonbie car dealer is on the run after his community sentence was increased to two years behind bars for his involvement in the “execution-style” killing of Ryan Kirkpatrick.
Neville was ordered to surrender himself to police on Tuesday night, after judges at the Appeal Court in London overturned his original sentence, ruling it “unduly lenient”.
