Audit of regional facilities puts Langholm on the top rung!
Another public service in Langholm has come out with a glowing report. We recently reported on the audit of care at the Thomas Hope hospital which was very positive. Now Langholm Fire Station has been given an award. Many of the fire fighters here are ‘retained’ but all train regularly to deal with a wide range of emergency scenarios. It is a real endorsement of everyone’s hard work that our small fire station has received this award.
Following a year of Fire Station Audits carried out by the Area Management Team Langholm has been crowned the Best Dumfries and Galloway First Station for 2024/2025. A full Audit is carried out to assess the station’s performance against administrative targets aligned to the Station Action Plan and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service’s core values, as well as a practical drill carried out on the night. The Audits were all of a very high standard right across the Area.
