Scotland Office Minister learns about digital innovations

The Barony Campus of the SRUC recently played host to Scotland Office Minister John Lamont.
It was part of a tour by the Borders MP to find out how digital innovations funded by the UK government are benefitting the rural economy.

At the Barony he took the opportunity to see how money from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is supporting the milk industry by bolstering the Digital Dairy Chain.
Mr Lamont said the government recognises that British farmers produce some of the highest-quality food in the world and contribute billions to our economy.
