Agencies involved with the development are considering including private housing on the site
The E&L has received an update on the proposed housing development at Murtholm, Langholm:
The Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP) report which is provided to update members of Annandale & Eskdale Area Committee on projects in the Annandale and Eskdale area, namely Selkirk Road, Moffat and Murtholm Farm, Langholm.
Murtholm Farm, Langholm Phase 1: “As part of Loreburn HA’s review of future projects, construction activity at Murtholm Farm has temporarily been paused. This will allow for further consideration of delivery and funding arrangements; however, it remains a priority development for the organisation. A delivery model is currently being explored with a private developer that may also enable the construction of private homes on this site. However, as work continues within Loreburn Housing Association (LHA) to improve financial capacity for new development, a specific site start-date is not available at this time”.
