A FORMER Langholm Cornet has completed his training at police college and is now ready to serve the public of Dumfries and Galloway.
Wayne Irving, who was Cornet in 2004, was formerly a fitness instructor at Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Eskdale Sports Centre.
He was one of nine trainees to have done their 11-week training course at the Scottish Police College.
Chief Superintendent Linda Jones welcomed the nine new probationers to Dumfries and Galloway earlier this week.
They will be based all over the region and will be keeping people safe from Stranraer to Langholm and everywhere in between.
Well done to PCs Walker, Middlemiss, Irving, Graham, Gerrard, Wicks, Crossan, Campbell and Allison.
