Youngster lands debut win in canine competition
Newcastleton youngster Leo Page got off to the best possible start in the highly competitive world of dog showing – by winning his very first class.
Leo, nine, made his debut performance in the 6-11 Young Handler class at the Border Terrier Open Show in Jedburgh – and aced it. In front of the eagle-eyed judge Peter Lothian, Leo had to demonstrate his handling skills with five-year-old Border Terrier Ellemcella Sedum (Juniper to her friends).
