Langholm Day Centre has been a hive of activity of late.
The Centre purchased a fantastic wheelchair-accessible greenhouse and are starting to plant their spring plants, flowers and some vegetables with members and their friends from Play Care.
The greenhouse purchase was made possible through the Communities Recovery Fund Grant and the Day Centre would like to thank Mairi, Margaret and Joyce from Langholm Initiative for their support to make this project possible.
There will be a plants sale with a knitting stall and “nearly new” stall in the near future to raise funds for the Day Centre, Alzheimer’s Scotland and Cancer Research.
Meanwhile members had a lovely lunch on April 6. Members brought in their Easter Bonnets and dyed eggs and prizes were given out. A lunch of roast turkey with all the trimmings and trifle was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Jean Falconer won 1st prize for best Easter Bonnet, while Margaret Cartner won best dyed egg.
