A 4-page special celebrating a festival of rugby at Milntown last Saturday
A few miles south down the A7, it was raining. Puddles in Longtown, drizzle in Canonbie.
Yet the rugby gods smiled on Milntown on Saturday. Yes it was cold, but it was also dry – and the spectators in the stand, huddled in tents, and clutching their pints by the clubhouse door were duly treated to a festival of Sevens rugby.
Langholm have enjoyed a season to remember, steamrollering the opposition on their way to the league title and promotion.
