Teen gang blamed for vandalism spree…yobs giving Langholm kids a bad name
A gang of teenage tearaways is being blamed for a spate of mindless vandalism in Langholm.
In recent weeks the town has been blighted by graffiti, while only last week there were reports of tiles being ripped from the walls of the public toilets at the town hall.
The final straw for many came at the weekend, when a wheely-bin was set alight close to the sewage treatment works at Robin’s Bank.
“My fear is that the vandalism is escalating and unless they are checked things will progress from the bin fire,” said Langholm councillor Denis Male.
