BORDERS Buses, which runs the X95 in Eskdale, continues to prepare for restarting the service once it’s safe to do so.
Sharon Morrison, communications director of West Coast Motors, said: “We’re waiting for Phase 2 before making any changes to the X95 service.
“We’re taking advice from the Scottish government and working on ways to ensure the safety of drivers by having plastic screens fitted.
“It’s not mandatory for drivers to wear face coverings but we suggest passengers wear them if possible. We understand, in some cases, it may not be possible.”
The company hosts two Zoom drop-in sessions today from 2pm to 2.45pm and 3pm to 3.45pm when the public have a chance to question the team at Borders Buses.
Ms Morrison said: “We’re very aware that passengers in Langholm and the surrounding area use the service for work and shopping in Carlisle and will try to resume this service as soon as it’s safe to do so.
“Please register to join the drop-in sessions on Zoom and give your views so we can take them into consideration when making decisions on the X95.”
