FOUR generations of Cochranes got together to mark the opening of their new shop on the A7 north of Longtown.
Cochranes Nurseries was first established in 1906 by Margaret and Anne’s grandad, Thomas Cochrane.
Previous to that he was at Burnside Nurseries. Deliveries were made by horse and cart.
Margaret said: “We have made the space bigger and customers can either self-serve or be served by staff.
“We are so proud of how the shop looks and we look forward to welcoming you through the doors.”
The ribbon was cut by the sixth generation Rosie and Harry Hogg and Jake Howe, the future of Cochranes.
