Parishioners and minister clash over ‘intrusive’ ringing

An unholy row has broken out in Langholm over the ringing of church bells at the town’s parish church.
Residents living next to the imposing 19th century church say the hourly tolling – reintroduced after more than 10 years of silence – is making their lives a misery.
