THE Easter Bunny did not let down the children of Canonbie last weekend, overcoming the difficulties posed by the coronavirus and bringing a smile to their faces.
Ninety chocolate Easter eggs were delivered by members of Canonbie community council to all the nursery and primary children in an effort to help lift their spirits during the current lockdown.
The children are not only affected by the current health scare but also missing social contact with their friends and families.
Thanks go to Paul Owen, Aldi Kingstown manager, for generously donating 30 Easter eggs and to Carol Midwood, community council secretary, for collecting them.
