Langholm ready to greet astronaut’s family

Excitement is building as family of astronaut Neil Armstrong prepare for touchdown in Langholm.

Rick and Mark Armstrong arrive in the Muckle Toon this weekend, for a series of events to commemorate both the 50th anniversary of their father’s visit and the end of the 400th anniversary of Langholm becoming a burgh.

Rick is a one-time animal trainer who has a software consulting business, while younger brother Mark is retired software engineer. They were 11 and six at the time of the Moon landing.
