Unclear how access to LEWCC finances will be
resolved and one-way traffic systems discussed

Langholm, Ewes and Westerkirk community council had its first full meeting since the election, on Monday night. The police report highlighted a banking fraud and a shoplifting incident at the Co-op. Community councillors asked about a letter that had been received from Police Scotland about the policing of events and the police representative advised people to contact the Police business support unit about this. Misuse of disabled parking bays was also raised as an issue.
In the public forum members of the public asked for support to lobby Wheatley Homes South to help find a home for a family with a disabled member. The community council agreed, along with Councillor Denis Male to write to Wheatley Homes. There is limited suitable housing in Langholm and the family do not want to move from this community.
