ZACH Reid of Langholm has gone bald in aid of the National Autistic Society.
Zach works for the Co-op which is trying to raise money for this charity as it was the one that got the most votes from staff in the all of Co-ops.
As well as fund-raising through the card scheme for local organisations the Co-op encourages staff to raise money for other charities.
Zach who is 26, had his head shaved free of charge by Janie Hotson of JK Salon on Friday evening with a couple of people watching.
One of Zach’s colleagues suggested this as a fundraiser and Zach thought it was a good idea. So far, he has raised over £500 for the Society and if anyone would still like to give a donation they should speak to a member of staff at the Co-op. Zach said
“Everyone is asking me if it’s a bit chilly and some folk have to look at me twice. I’d like to thank all of the people who have given me money so far.”
