Experience of a lifetime for dedicated Shotokan Karate Club members
This summer, karate students from Scotland had the opportunity to travel to Japan to participate in the World Traditional Karate Organization (WTKO) International Summer Camp, held in Nagano from 30 July to 2 August 2026. The camp brought together 112 participants, with students from Scotland and eight other countries represented, for several days of intensive karate training, learning, friendship and cultural exchange in Japan.
Sharron Harkness, Heather Anderson and Alison Barker of Langholm Shotokan Karate Club were fortunate enough to attend the camp. The Langholm trio had the fantastic opportunity to train alongside and learn from some of the leading senseis in karate on the world stage.
