Scottish Woodlands, which has been developing the woodland creation design for Warblaw sent the Eskdale & Liddesdale Advertiser information this week about the scheme saying the following:
“For the past three years, we have been engaged in a consultation process on the Warblaw Hill woodland creation scheme. This process aims to share draft proposals with the local community and other stakeholders, allowing for them to feedback any constraints and opportunities that would be required to be incorporated into the proposal. Although the community consultation ended on 17th September 2024, we have continued to engage with statutory consultees and representatives of the Save Warblaw Action Group since that date.
“Given the complexity of the site and level of issues raised, it is our intention to proceed with a voluntary Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). We will be engaging independent consultants to undertake the EIA.
