Suddenly but peacefully after an illness bravely borne, at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary on Monday 8th September 2025, Sylvia aged 72 years. Beloved wife of Tony, loving mam of Ally and Helen, proud granny of Ellie, much loved sister, sister-in-law, mother-in-law and auntie. Sylvia will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of Sylvia's life will take place at Langholm Parish Church on Monday 22nd September at 12pm, followed by interment into Langholm Cemetery. Please wear a touch of colour. On the 24th of August 2025, peacefully at Thomas Hope Hospital, Ronald Sheeley of Caroline Street, Langholm. A much-loved husband of the late May and loving father to Michael, the late Gary, Alan and Beverley and a dear grandfather and great-grandfather. Service to be held at Roucan Loch Crematorium on Wednesday 10th September at 11.00am, to which all friends are respectfully invited to attend. Following the service the family will be returning to Pollyannas where all friends and family will be made most welcome including those unable to attend the service, should they wish to pay their respects. Peacefully at Burnfoot Care Home, Nova Emily Astrid Higgins, nee ‘Cannaway’ on 18th August 2025. A private funeral will take place in terms of Nova's wishes.
Peacefully on the 23rd August at the Cumberland Infirmary, David aged 85 years. Beloved husband of Sheila, dear dad of John, Aileen and Ross, adored papa, cherished father-in-law and a great friend to many. Funeral service to be held at Langholm Parish Church on Tuesday 9th September at 11:00 am followed by interment at Langholm Cemetery. Friends are respectfully invited to attend. Sheila and family wish to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for their kind expression's of sympathy, cards and messages they received following the sad loss of David.
