Petition for vital health services to be restored to Langholm
A petition has been launched demanding a decision to degrade services at Langholm’s Thomas Hope Hospital is reversed.
Local podiatry, physiotherapy, dementia day-care and ?? services have already been outsourced to other medical facilities in the area, including Annan and Dumfries, in sweeping changes by Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership.
This has proved a nightmare for anyone using scant public transport connections from Langholm, involving changes of buses and mistimed connections.
Now Langholm Ewes and Westerkirk Community Council have set up the petition, calling for these vital services to be reinstated.
