Many organisations mourn the passing of Councillor Archie Dryburgh
Archie Dryburgh, Councillor for Annandale East and Eskdale ward died last week after a long illness. He was an active and popular councillor for the area and was Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Armed Forces champion. Tributes have been coming in locally and from the MP, MSP and from the many Eskdale organisations that he has helped over the years.
Langholm Youth Rugby Club said:
“Langholm Youth Rugby was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Archie Dryburgh.
“Archie was our first aider at home tournaments for many years. He was always happy to help, nothing was ever a problem, and he looked after all our young players with great kindness and care.
“We are very grateful for everything Archie did for the youth section over the years. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends at this sad time.”
