Langholm Youth Rugby recently held their annual awards ceremony which was attended by over 100 people. The day started with Niall Cubbon saying a few words about the season then introducing each coach to reflect on how the kids have played.
First up were our P1, 2 and 3s who are very keen and enthusiastic. Each of the kids were all presented with a well-done certificate with a little help from Miltown the Lion!
P4 to P7 are awarded Most Improved and Player of the Season. This is never an easy decision for any coach as all the kids give 110%.
P4 Most Improved was James Bell and Player of the Season was Oliver Davidson.
P4 have recently retained the trophy at Hawick by winning their section along with a few more trophies throughout the season. Well done to you all, you should be very proud of yourselves.
P5 Most Improved was won jointly by Millie Barker and Jack Irving and Player of the Season Murray Cubbon.
P6/7 Most Improved was Blake Divers and Player of the Season Rudy Dirom.
A special mention must go to David Goodfellow who has been the only P7 this season but he stuck in and continued to train and play. Coach Colin Dirom awarded him with a new ball and a certificate for his commitment.
