LANGHOLM New Town Bowling Club hosted its presentation of prizes night for the 2019 season in Langholm Social Club last Saturday.
Twenty-four people attended and members received prizes from Paul Mitchell, vice-president, who stood in for Roddy Innes, president, who was on holiday.
Prizewinners: club champion Steven Barker; runner-up Alan Warwick. Douglas cup Scott Morrison; runner-up Paul Mitchell. President’s prize Duncan Ritchie; runner-up Paul Warwick. This was another great year for the club. The biggest achievement by far was Paul Warwick winning the 2019 Borders singles championship.
Duncan Ritchie and Ian Scott earned a place in the semi-final of the Borders pairs.
For a small club, it leaves its mark on the Borders and hopes to continue these successes next year.
