Canonbie sports success


School Sports

ALL eyes were on the running track at Canonbie’s playing field as the pupils ran, skipped and jumped their way to sporting glory last Thursday.
On a sunny but cool evening hundreds of supporters turned out to cheer on the youngsters in their endeavours and the boys and girls put on a great show.
The highest-scoring P7 boy was Matt Hall and the P7 girl was Alice Couper.
In P1 to P3 the highest-scoring pupil was Sam Ellwood and in P4 to P6 it was Grace Ellwood. The winning house was Esk.

Aged 5/6. Boys: 1 Sam Ellwood; 2 Kyle Hetherington; 3 Caisen Martin. Girls: 1 Felicity Graham; 2 Emily Rome; 3 Hannah Imrie.
Aged 7/8. Boys: 1 Luke Rome; 2 Harry Cattermole; 3 Evan Warbeck. Girls: 1 Meredith Lacey; 2= Mirren Warbeck & Tilda Smith; 3 Maddy Rall.
Aged 9/10. Boys: 1 Ryan Wilson; 2= Riley Smith & Robbie Graham; 3 Daniel Cattermole. Girls: 1 Grace Ellwood; 2 Janie Hall; 3 Libby Hall.
Aged 11/12. Boys: 1 Matt Hall 2 Hayden Mattinson; 3= Noah Smith & Robbie Smith. Girls: 1 Alice Couper; 2 Kirsten Waitt; 3 Kara Waitt.
