Wendy Patterson will be opening her front gates at The Brox – half a mile north of Newcastleton on Saturday the 30th March, 11am-4pm, to launch her second in her
series of children’s books ‘A Day with Amber rabbit’.
After the success of ‘A Day with Roan Squirrel’ which was launched last year, Wendy is excited to launch her next publication.
Wendy’s books are colourful, realistic and educational books aimed at younger children, that are inspired by the wildlife in Liddesdale. Not only has she written the stories but the books are filled with beautiful illustrations too. Wendy specifically wanted to create books with no gloss finish, so they are environmentally friendly.
A percentage from each sale goes to Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrels.
If you go along to the launch you will also have an opportunity to see Wendy’s other artwork and the original drawings from the book and of course get your copy of ‘A Day with Amber Rabbit’ signed. The book would make a special Easter gift for younger members of the family.
