THERE was a good entry of 48 for the single-handed bowling tournament in the Benty hall last Friday and because of the late finish which went beyond midnight, the finalists shared the prize money.

Preston match off

WITH a number of Langholm players and supporters going to Murrayfield last Saturday for the international match against England and no chance of an early kick-off because others were working on a Saturday morning, the rugby club had no option but to call off the scheduled match at Preston Lodge.
