ERIN Middlemass of Gilnockie travelled to Galashiels to swim for Hawick ASC in round three of the BRSC junior and intermediate leagues.

Her first event was the girls 15 and over 100m backstroke, in which she took 5.84 seconds off her previous time, securing first place and maximum points for the team.

Next for Erin was the girls 15 and over 100m freestyle. She swam close to her personal best, finishing in third place and gaining six more points for the team.

In the final event of the day Erin was joined by team mates in the 4 x 50m freestyle squadron. They took fourth place and recorded an 8.71 second personal best.
