Little goes long way at Hawick

ONLY a handful of athletes from the Eskdale area competed at Hawick Common Riding Games last Sunday but they certainly made an impact.
Iain Little of Langholm powered his way to the front with about 200 metres to go in the 800 metres open handicap and the 19-year-old stretched away to win in a time of 1 min 57.95 secs off a mark of 60 metres.
